I was with some kids of the elementary school and they asked me if I could show them my phone background. I had this photo.
One kid said:”They’re so cute! Do they love each other?”
I smiled at him and replied:”Yes, they do.”
And all the kids started making noises like ‘awww’ and I was melting.
A little girl came near me and asked:”Are they gonna get married? It would be cool!”So, you see, homophobia isn’t inside a person. You are not born with homophobia. Society teaches it to you. Or your family. They think it’s wrong to fall in love with someone of your same sex. But it isn’t. Love is love.

- self harm: is not an attention seeking phase. it is an addiction.
- eating disorders: are not a fashion statement. They are addictions and disorders that slowly kill the individual struggling with it.
- suicide: is not the cowards way out. it becomes the last option only when someone feels that there is nothing left. but thats not true, there is always something new to try. keep trying new things until you find the one thing that distracts your thoughts.
- depression: is not just feeling sad one day. it is debilitating. you feel like the world is crushing you down and even getting out of bed takes so much energy, it becomes a miracle when you get dressed in the morning.
- anxiety: is not being rude to people around you. some people just dont like being touched or around crowds, please respect that.
- bipolar: isnt just mood swings.
- mpd/did: isnt made up. it is caused by severe trauma. usually childhood sexual abuse.
- abuse: it is never ever your fault. please tell someone before it gets worse, so that the person hurting you doesnt hurt someone else.
- rape: clothes a person wear dont cause rape. rape isnt exclusively male on female, males can rape males, females can rape females, and females can rape males. never blame the victim.
- if you or someone you knows struggles with any of these things, please know that i am here for you. i want to help you as much as i can. i want you to know that you arent alone, other people understand. my ask is always open, feel free to leave me a message if you ever need to talk.
- stay strong and hold on. life gets better.

So this past weekend I was at a house party and happened to see the single most miserably neglected fish I have ever seen in my life. The water had an opaque layer of something that looked kind of like grease on top and the single fish inside was listless and shrivelled. It smelled FOUL and the guy hosting the party said that they had noticed the fish being kind of stupid since they had changed the water last time (which must have been like a fucking year ago) by just running the tub into the tank.
Being full of whiskey and compassion(?), I naturally decided that the fish was now mine and reached into that disgusting cesspool with a ziplock bag, took the fish home, cackling to myself because what I was doing was just so weird.
The next day I went out and got a tank, like, I dropped 100$ for a stolen goldfish that cost 4.38$ at PetSmart. I went to a locally owned small pet shop called Paws N’ Jaws and the woman there was super helpful and even gave me some free plants with the tank. Ended up being up til like 2 in the morning with school the next day at 8 setting the stupid thing up, panicking about dechlorinating the water etc etc.
These are his new digs, live plants, snaily companions. He’s perked up A LOT since being moved to an environment that actually has oxygen in the water, and has shown marked improvement in his ability to eat. For the first day or so, his motor skills appeared to be completely fucked up and he had a hard time swimming and eating, he would suck up food and then just spit it right back out. Now he’s having a great time, eating well harassing the snails, trying to eat the plants and zipping around the tank for no apparent reason like a moron, but a happy moron. I really enjoy watching him.. or her.
Admittedly I might have done this even if I had been sober, but I like to think this is proof that not ALL decisions made when drunk are bad ones. I regret nothing.
